Transporting a rifle to a Jersey FFL
A friend wants to buy a rifle from me.
I'm in PA and he's in New Jersey.
The rifle is New Jersey compliant.
Is it legal for me to transport the rifle to the FFL in New Jersey for the transfer?
Please respond only if you are 100% sure.
Thanks

I wouldn't whether it's technically legal or not.
Have him come here and transfer it at a PA FFL.

I won't go to NJ for nothing, I think just being me is illegal there...

I agree with above. Have him come here or ship it FFL to FFL. Not worth the possible hassle.

When it comes to PRNJ and guns nothing is 100%. I do know he can receive a long gun in PA as long as he has a NJ FOID card and the gun is NJ compliant (and pass the background check). Since you likely don't have a NJ FOID card, I would be wary of taking it into NJ. How far in is the FFL?

Re: Transporting a rifle to a Jersey FFL
Unless you have a non-resident NJ FPID by letter of NJ law it is not legal for you to transport a rifle to a FFL for a transfer. NJ law only allows you to transport to a FFL "for purposes of repair".

AND, if the buyer fails in any way to qualify for the purchase in NJ, you cannot reclaim the rifle there. If you have already received payment, it's up to the buyer how to proceed. Otherwise, the FFL would have to ship the rifle to an FFL in your state so you could pass your own background check before getting the rifle back. Guess who is going to pay for the shipping and your BG check: You.
This is how I understand it works, an FFL can correct any errors here.IANAL. I don't give legal advice. I'm only stating my OPINION.
(Did I really need to say that on an Internet forum? LOL)

It's for the children. The children who survive abortion and post-abortion infanticide, that is.
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.
