    Question Philly GPU a GFZ?

    Forgive my google-fu failings:

I have a coworker from Philly looking to get their LTCF. To be helpful I looked up the address for the GPU. Their PDF document containing their instructions and the PSP application starts (very top line) with:
FIREARMS ARE NOT PERMITTED ON THE PREMISES.
Does the facility meet the statutory definitions to be a GFZ, and - if so - do they have the statutorially required lock boxes and associated signage? If I go along (to witness the acceptance of the application) I would rather not have to disarm into my back-seat lockbox in view of the thieving public and risk having Philly recommend to my sheriff to revoke my LTCF when my gun is stolen.

Lock you gun before you go and strap it on when you leave.

My GPU is on my CPU so I never have that GFZ problem. Hope that’s not too graphic. O/G

I wonder how many folks showed up to apply for their first LTCF and were carrying their firearm ?

Given the demographic, I considered that as a possible reason behind the printed instruction. That said, my questions still stand.

For those going in West Chester. Justice Center in West Chester has a locker for weapons. So go there first b/c they scan every one.
