Starting philly custom kydex
I’m going to be doing custom kydex holsters soon, I’m hoping to be up and running in the next couple of weeks and located in south philadelphia. My first mold will be for the Glock 48 but that will allow me to do the 43 and 43x as well. I have access to a Glock 19, 1911 and cz p09 which will allow me to do those models. I would like to eventually add light bearing models but my first will be taco style with a soft loop and Phlster tuckstrut. Please message or email for questions and pricing! My Email is PhillyCustomKydex@gmail.com

Re: Starting philly custom kydex
Just got one from R&R for my M&P full size 9 with TLR 8 light but not crazy about the fit on my belt and would like to see some other options. Think the TLR 8 will become popular as it's an awesome addition to home defense guns and carry also.

Re: Starting philly custom kydex
I loved the feel of the tlr-7 but I couldn’t reach the button without using my offhand thumb so I went back to my tlr-1. I have a great idea on how to make it easier to conceal lights with a wing but getting enough molds for a specific light and gun model may take some some.
I am planning to try the old school method and using the actual gun and a foam press at first to try out some ideas.
I am not opposed to custom colors or prints but they’ll just add a bit to the price, I cant wait to do a tan leather texture 1911 VM-2 type!Go head, skin it. Skin that smoke wagon and see what happens.

About an hour depending on the design. the prep work is the most important part so if it’s an odd design it make take some time to figure out the size of shim to fill in the ejection port and follow the slide release.

For reference my taco will resemble the old PHLster ACCESS, which is the first picture at the top of this article
