You need an answer from either the SP or Game Commision on this. Someone in authority, preferably in writing or posted officially somewhere and not from an Internet forum.

You’re smart enough to know, that you “don’t want to Mess Up”, so don’t! Get the permit, verify its limitations and enjoy the hunt.

1911operator I’ve called sheriffs office and was told they don’t know and I would have to call state police I did and was sent back to sheriffs office so I called pa game commission and was told try the sheriffs office.

Hang out, ask questions, read and learn, just don't mess up, carrying a gun is serious business. Also get yourself schooled in how to use it and disciplined in not using it when you shouldn't. At 18 I don't think you can even buy a pistol so I'm guessing that your father has given you one.

You cannot carry at work at 18. You must be 21 with a ltcf and the company (in your case, your family) must be ok with that but again the sportsman’s permit is for “hunting” and you need a license for that also. . the sportsman’s permit is not a way around carrying a handgun at work. That’s what the writings state re the sportsman’s permit that I read

Who issues the permit again, the county treasurer? I hate to opine here after my last post, but start with the treasurer and then game commission AGAIN. If no results, contact your local representative, get him or her involved, hopefully they are Republicans. Good Luck!
