Ohio Constitutional Carry?
Seems to me that Ohio has been going the right direction. What are the chances this will pass in Ohio? Is this something that Kasich would veto?

Ohio legislators propose allowing law-abiding citizens to carry a gun without a permit

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) - A pair of Ohio lawmakers have introduced a proposal that, if passed, would lighten firearm restrictions in the state.
House Bill 174 was introduced on Wednesday by Republican Reps. Ron Hood and Tom Brinkman.
If passed into legislation, the proposed bill would permit Ohio residents over the age of 21 who are not disqualified by past criminal offenses to carry a concealed firearm without obtaining a license or passing firearm education training.

The bill states allowing “a person age 21 or older and not prohibited by federal law from firearm possession to carry a concealed deadly weapon without needing a license subject to the same carrying laws as a licensee.”

The proposal would also expunge certain convictions from previous firearms violations.
Current law requires Ohio residents to obtain a concealed carry permit from county sheriff’s offices in order to possess a firearm.

Twenty-seven House Representatives are co-sponsoring the proposal.

Re: Ohio Constitutional Carry?
More importantly, can they pass a law like that for residents only?

Re: Ohio Constitutional Carry?
Out of the current 16 states with Const. Carry, two are for residents only.
Utah was the only state that passed, THEN vetoed by the governor.*
Would imagine non-residents would still have their own state's permit, just to carry while crossing states not with Const. Carry.
