I have one of those Plano models. Did my research, Made in USA and and will travel.

If you don't travel I don't see the point. I sold my pelican case with a rifle because it was ridiculously too big to lug to the gun range. I dented my truck with it twice and smashed my thumb against the door frame. Rifle bags take up less room.

When you get that old I believe you should have to take the driver's test again.

I have a 12 x 8" appache case from hf. I think that was 16.00 on sale.

Another vote for the plano all weather stuff, have two of em. Survived the TSA and baggage handlers no issue.
