Re: What powder for...5.56 .300 blackout .308
XBR does extremely well for me in 5.56 and .308 using 75gr and 168gr match bullets, very similar to AR Comp. For Blackout I currently use w296 which is ridiculously quiet and accurate, but will try N-110 to see if it will burn cleaner.

CFE 223 and H335 are really good for 5.56 and 223.
It's a little harder to meter, but Benchmark is also a good 5.56/223 powder!

For the .223/5.56 ask a dozen loaders and you could end up with a dozen answers.
I follow the advice of matching the relative quickness of a powder to the weight of the projectile here.
For 55 grs. I pretty much settled on H335. Meters like water and is useful in a couple other calibers I load.
Have some 75 gr bullets and a can of reloader 15 for them, but need to get off my butt and work up some loads. It ain't what they call you, it's what you answer to.

New to the reloading world. Actually i haven't even started yet, just collecting right now.
I can get a good deal on IMR 3031.
Aside from possible flow issues, what's the dope on this stuff?
I would be using it for .223, .308, and .30-30.

Re: What powder for...5.56 .300 blackout .308
I've used it for 30-30 and 30-06 with good results. I'd probably choose something different for 223/308. If I remember correctly it wasn't the best for either in any category in my books.
I'm going to try varget on 5.56 my next batch. I've had good sucess with it for 7-08. Never loaded blackout.

For .308 I am liking the results of Alliant Reloader 15.
