Hunting.....and identifying your target
Had to post this since it's been annoying the crap out of me.
Early January duck hunting, had my decoys set up, had myself all hidden. A bit of a slow morning and was finishing a cup of coffee, when from very close came 2 shots. Peeked out of my blind to see 2 young lads walking along the dike. They saw me standing there and said something like "Oh Dude, we didn't see you, saw your decoys and thought they were real." "Let me know if any have holes and I'll take care of them"
I epoxied the BB holes in my decoys shut later that day.

I've never hunted duck, but pretty sure you gots ta choot 'em up in the sky.
Sounds more like their problem is that they are assholes rather than failing to identify the target.

you should see what they did to the lawn flamingos….wasn't pretty.
I've never seen a decoy that looked that real. There is no greater sorrow than to recall in misery the time when we were happy - Dante.

What is "Sporting" for one, may not be for all. I shot grouse off logs already and had no problem telling people that. I bet over half the deer we shot were on the move, some REALLY on the move. Many people consider that "Unsportsman like". The guy offered to pay for them. What more do you want?

I'd rather shoot birds on the wing too, but.......not all mine have been.
Yeah. Guys you've never met, and given the scenario, don't really want to meet again, offers to make the decoys right. Not worth it in my book, unless of course they would half been blown in half. Honestly, the guys weren't great shots, only had like 6 holes to patch, and had 16 dekes out. HAA
