I'm not a big fan of them. I prefer the 10-22. To each his own...

Re: Do you have any use for .22 rimfire AR - AK clones?
I've read a good review about the new Tippman Arms AR clone. I'm going retro and (re)learning how to run a bolt-action, so I'm not in the market. But maybe some day?
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will...

I have several .22lr semi auto rifles. All fun to shoot and since .22lr has come back down from the lofty price heights it once held it again scratches the itch at a lower cost.

Me too. Except for the steel matches part, and I got it at a Harrisburg show.
It's fun, cheap to shoot, and pretty accurate. About 3/4" @ 50 yds with a cheap BSA Sweet .22 3x9, and federal bulk box. It really likes CCI Stingers but they cost too much for plinking.
My kid's Marlin 25N is fun too. Extremely accurate, even with the 24 lb trigger.
Ruger MKII Target is one of my favorite pistols to shoot. You hit the bullseye, and you feel good.
First gun I ever shot was my Dad's JC Higgins .22 auto when I was five.
I loves me some .22!

Have a PSA Magpul lower with a Geissele 2-stage trigger that I alternate a 5.56 upper and a dedicated .22lr upper. Love the hell out of it, very accurate out to 50 yards or so. Great for inexpensive plinking and target shooting. Would like to try a steel match eventually but I don't know where there are any near me Mines reliable as heck through 500 rounds or so thus far.
I just love shooting.
