Do you have any use for .22 rimfire AR - AK clones?
Picked up a HK416D in .22 rimfire. Read all the reviews - the good, bad, and ugly. Mostly good I must say. A very sharp looking "look-alike"in my opinion. Well constructed and easy to load 20 and 30 round magazines are part of the package. Also added a vertical grip and a scope.
I am not pretending that this in to "train" for the real thing. It is just for fun although an AR in a big-boy caliber does have its appeal to me.
So what do you think of these .22 rimfire clones?

I've hunted squirrels with my AR that I built. With a suppressor and subsonics.

I own a S&W M&P22. I bought it for no other reason than it was cheap, looked kinda cool, and is a hell of a lot of fun to shoot! I bring it everywhere from the range to the cabin for plinking or anything else. I put a Bushnell TRS25 red dot on it and honestly, it's one of the most fun guns I own.
I also like the fact that it cost just cents per magazine to go nuts with when the kids want to have some fun.

A few years back I bought a Bushmaster dedicated .22LR upper from a friend for $300. This is the original Bushmaster company before it moved south and its ex-employees remaining behind formed Windham Weaponry.
I put it on a plastic lower (bought from Bob's...forget the brand) and it is fun to shoot, when it shoots. Constant feed/extract/eject problems.
I wanted to try an experiment with the firing pin but not until I located a second one. The "new Bushmaster" has no parts. Phoned Windham asking for part, they have none. While I had him (former Bushmaster worker) on the phone I asked why they stopped making the upper, and he said they just couldn't get it to run.
Now complete rifles are available for what I have in the bad upper. There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

Yep. My daughter shoots hers like it’s going out of style. She’s got a 15/22 with a dead air mask, a cmc trigger and a bush bell red dot. She will shoot til it stops running

I've got a Sig 522 that I bought off a member here. It's a great little plinker. Accurate, too. I use it for steel matches from time to time.

Great for Steel Challenge matches. I have a GSG 1911 22 rimfire that I also use for Steel Challenge. Also good for keeping up on practice in the winter shooting indoors.
