Re: Exhibit A... why there should not be mag limits.
As I've said in the past: It is better to be on your feet with un-expended ammo in your magazine, than on the floor with a sucking chest wound because you have too little ammo!

If the guy wouldn't have had a gun, then he wouldn't have gotten into a gunfight, therefore he doesn't need 30round magazines.

Re: Exhibit A... why there should not be mag limits.
When I first read the article, I could hear this anti argument in my head.
“All they wound up doing was pistol whipping him, they could have killed him but didn’t. There was no need for him to have a gun..... the end results show his life was never in danger.”
Sometimes I make my own head explode.

Virginia tech was the perfect example in how mag limits are utterly useless. It really does stop there in why any legislation on mags is useless yet people still think they work. Next time someone mentions mag limits, ask them about the 32 killed with a 22lr and 9mm handguns and a backpack full of 20 round mags.

I don't think protecting yourself in your own home is playing cop.

Even with 10 round mags if you are skilled and practice enough, you can change out mags pretty fast....
