Passed out of Committee with an 8-3 Vote. Now it is time to contact Senator Jake Corman...as He is the Senate Majority Leader and gets to decide when this will be presented to the Senate floor for a full Senate Vote.

PLease contact him letting him know your support for Senate Bill #147. To remove the Sunday Hunting Prohibition.

Please Contact these Senators and ask them for explanations for their NO vote today. Please ask to speak to them so that you can explain why this Senate Bill #147 is important and why this Sunday Hunting Prohibition should be removed. They will vote again when this Bill is presented to the entire Senate and the hope would be to change their positions.

PLease feel free to edit with your personal information and copy and paste into an email or print and send via regular US Postal Mail.

    Find your legislator below.

    https://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs...slator/Senator Folmer,

I am writing to encourage you to support Senate Bill #147. This bill will remove the legislated prohibition on Sunday hunting in PA. This Bill will also strengthen trespassing laws that will allow private landowners to prevent people from being on their land if the individual landowner does not want to permit hunting on Sunday. This Senate Bill #147 promotes freedom of choice and decreased Government regulation.

I would like to know how you intend to vote on this Senate bill #147 when it comes before the full Senate.

Senate Bill #147 passed the Senate Game and Fisheries committee with a vote of 8-3. This Bill was sponsored by a Republican Senator Daniel Laughlin and Co-Sponsored by a Democrat Senator James Brewster. It is a bill that should become a law. It makes so much sense that it has overwhelming bipartisan support. Representatives from Gov. Tom Wolf's office have spoken at the PA GAme Commision and publically state he supports the bill. When was the last time a Republican Sponsored Bill had a Democrat Co-Sponsor and support from a Democrat Gov.?

Senate Bill #147 will have profound economic benefit throughout the state and allow hunters to continue to help farmers by controlling the deer population through hunting. Hunting on Sunday will help farmers by lessening lessen crop damage deer caused by deer.

Hunting numbers are down and hunting license sales are decreasing in large part because working families and youth do not have sufficient opportunities during the work or school week to take part in hunting. Sunday is often times the only day of the week that people would be able to spend time afield. Removing the prohibition to Sunday hunting could increase hunter numbers and license sales which help to fund conservation in our state and allow the PA GAme Commision to manage over 1.5 Million Acres of State GAme land. This these state game lands are enjoyed by ALL Pennsylvanians

Please do what is right for Pennsylvania, please do what is right for farmers, please do what is right for hunters and please do what is right for freedom to hunt on Sunday.

    Regards,
