Good point. I would suggest you file a right to know request concerning number of guns stolen from cops and action taken against cops. Let police know you have filed this information request and if you do not get your permit back are going to the press as this might make an interesting story on cops lost of service weapons.

If being a victim of a vehicle break-in discloses one to be unfit, what of being the victim of assault and robbery of wallet and gun? Unfit for being unaware of surroundings?
There are two kinds of guns. Those I have acquired, and those I hope to.

OP, sorry to hear. Philly has a bit of a god complex when it comes to your Constitutional rights not really caring about the purpose of the Bill of Rights. My guess is that the officer involved is using the character and reputation clause. My guess is they are thinking, “he left a gun in the car, he is not a character we want carrying”.

You are on the the right track by contacting a lawyer. Good luck.
Same here. I read the first sentence and my eyes moved over to see his location, which didn't surprise me.

"They were asking for it" is not an acceptable explanation of a crime against a victim such as rape. We all understand why that is so. Except when used an excuse to limit someones 2nd Amendment rights, then its ok. Thank You government.

I was wondering if there was any update to this, but I see the OP hasn’t signed on since February 3.

He probably couldn't make bail after PPD arrested him for being a victim of a crime.

Perhaps he's not logged on because he's left his brain unsecured in a vehicle and now it has been stolen as well.
