Trying to remember a gun shop...
I don't know why, but I suddenly remembered a gun shop that I used to visit, decades ago, somewhere in the Lehigh Valley/Bucks County/MontCo region.
I remember that it had an elevated section at the back where the guns were, and some racks of USGI surplus clothes. That's about it.
Anybody remember a store like that? It was probably 1960's-2000 or so.Attorney Phil Kline, AKA gunlawyer001@gmail.com

Possibly AF Boyer Hardware & Guns in Slatington? Gun section is in an elevated loft in the back, old rifles all around the upper section perimeter.

The army-navy by Pep-Boys in Whitehall? Can't remember if the guns were elevated (or if they actually had guns, for that matter)

1960-2000,rather specific. But Smit beat me to it. Not that I ruled out a ton of other stores, but it fits your description, and as my LGS it's familiar. And they just celebrated their 150th year anniversary (same family), so it fits into your time frame Does your memory include a stuffed Giraffe??
Lots of pics online, to spark memories.
