    Default Buying gun from dad

I live in PA, my dad in Jersey. What paperwork do we need to do for me to be able to buy his gun?

Agree on a price, pay him, do a transfer at a FFL, preferably in PA. It must be in PA for a pistol. Since it is an interstate transfer, federal law applies, as well as state law.

Yup just meet at the FFL of your choice on the PA side.

The point previous posters are not stating explicitly:

Since the transfer is interstate (between states), your relationship does not matter. ALL interstate transfers must be done thru an FFL, following the laws of the buyer's state (for long guns), or IN the buyer's state (for handguns). There are variations to this for some other firearms, but if you were talking about one of those, you would probably already know the answers.
