    I thought the Convention Center was a government-owned building. That would make it illegal to not allow the carry of firearms, wouldn’t it?

    Not sure, but even if it is - unless it's a court facility or detention center why would carrying be illegal?

    Point of clarification: public facility as in the public is welcome there, or as in, public-owned facility, you know,purchased with tax monies? If it is publically-owned (taxpayers bought it using tax monies, and own it) then it should be illegal to bar firearm possession. Of course, court, or school, and so on, presence is relevant.
