You mean people who actually like to shoot rifles more than the once a year that the bolt and lever gun guys do? I'd rather have a guy who shoots 1000-20,000 rounds a year any day of the week because that guy knows what he's doing. A person who buys an expensive doorstop for 11 1/2 months out of the year doesn't exactly strike me as someone who makes good decisions.

I hunt with a lot of uncles and cousins. Most of them shoot a 30-06 in a pump rifle.....trust me they send plenty of lead flying without a lot of aiming......I shoot a bolt action .243. Never needed a second shot. Usually only take a 3 round mag and no extra bullets. If I carried a modern sporting rifle my goal would be the same.....1 shot humane kill.

I should roll out in the woods with my 50. It’s a bolt gun so it’s ok right.

If you are going to push it, now is the time. The Game Commission is grasping at straws. I believe the first day has just been bumped up to Saturday. The PAGC has been fudgeing hunter numbers for years by adding unsold doe tags and DMAP tags as "License sales". It is so bad now they can not cover it up. You could probably push grenade hunting through if it meant more revenue coming in. The "Operators" will get bored soon enough and drop out. I remember when the PAGC extended the bow season into the rut for 1 week. Everybody and his brother ran to K-MART and bought a compound bow the night before. Dead deer rotting all over the place. Lot of cheap bows for sale the next year because now there were almost no deer. Things always level out eventually.

No it was taken out of consideration within the week of it being proposed. They cite too much backlash and possibly was a tactic to get people better able to accept Saturday Opener. And lets certainly hope Sunday Hunting.

Too many idiots use guns. I think you should only be able to use a bow. Since I think that, they should ban everyone else from using guns. They are too dangerous.

Bows are too dangerous. They shoot too fast and can penetrate body armor!
