Default Why it is going to be different this TIME!!!---Sunday HUnting

Senator Dan Laughlin (R- 49th District serving Eire) ---- IS a MAJOR force in the PA Senate who is committed to ending the Legislated Prohibition on Sunday Hunting. For the current 2019-20 Legislative sessions he has been Appointed to be the Chair of the PA Senate Game and Fisheries Committee as well as the EXTREMELY powerful Senate Appropriations Committee. This is EXCELLENT NEWS for Sunday Hunting. Also Senator James Brewster (D- 45th District serving Pittsburgh) is the Minority Chair of the Pa Senate Game and Fisheries Committee-------

    Why does this matter???

In the last Legislative Session- Laughlin Sponsored and Senator Brewster Co-Sponsored PA Senate Bill #1202 which would REMOVE the prohibition on Sunday Hunting. The Bill got bogged down in committee and never was advanced to the PA General Assembly for a vote. It got bogged down because the Committee Chair- Senator Joseph Stefano did not want it to get out of Committee because he was anti- Sunday Hunting.

This is certainly NOT going to be the case for the 2019-20 Legislative Session as the two Senators CHAIR and CO-Chair the Committee and are in favor of Sunday Hunting. With their new positions of increased importance and power will certainly ensure that a Bill to remove Sunday Hunting will get through the PA Senate Game and Fisheries Committee to be presented to the General Assembly for a vote.

This is WHY it is IMPORTANT to begin contacting not only your OWN Senator from your OWN district...But as many Senators from as Many Districts as you have time to contact.

But there could be a MORE FOCUSED approach to Which Senator you contact and WHEN you contact them.

A bill to remove the Sunday Hunting Prohibition will SOON be introduced by Laughlin and Co-Sponsored by Brewster. It will work through the PA Senate Game and Fisheries Committee. And It will be presented to the Senate Majority Leader. Jake Corman (R-34th District)----- Corman MUST then decide if the Bill should be presented to the entire Senate for a vote.

SO if YOU want to take action at this point. Please contact either Senator Jake Corman or Senator Joseph B. Scarnati....Scarnati is President Pro Tempore of the Senate and Corman is the Senate Majority leader.

When we focus our energies at the proper target at the proper time...we are MUCH more effective.

Once the other members of the PA Senate Game and Fisheries committee are announce I will Post their names and contact information....Then Starts the process of Contacting those specific Senators.

ALL OF THIS IS ALSO HAPPENING IN THE HOUSE OF REPS AND I WILL POST THAT INFORMATION AS IT BECOMES AVAILABLE.

It really will be different this time...if we keep up the pressure and contact the Senators and Reps at the most appropriate time.

Remember the PA Game Commission has NOTHING to do with Sunday Hunting at this point.

Good, get it done at the beginning instead of waiting till the last days of the session then make excuses as to why it's too late.

Passed out of Committee with an 8-3 Vote. Now it is time to contact Senator Jake Corman...as He is the Senate Majority Leader and gets to decide when this will be presented to the Senate floor for a full Senate Vote.

PLease contact him letting him know your support for Senate Bill #147. To remove the Sunday Hunting Prohibition.
