Not entirely new nor unknowing. He's counting on the crooked Judges on Pennsylvania's Supreme Court to ignore the plain English of the GCA and Pa Constitution and side with him. BTW the State AG is every bit as capable of ignoring the law also.

I saw a televised news article yesterday regarding Krasner and how he is making things difficult for law enforcement in Philly including firing a large number of the DA's office prosecutors. The FOP bigwig making the statement claimed that Philly was in the throes of an increase in crime including murder.

One his first acts after taking office was to nearly completely clean out the DA's office and fire a whole slew of assistants who had been there for years and replace them with his own team of sjw bleeding heart ADA's.

Thats kinda my point. How would they prove when exactly you first noticed it was missing... Law abiding citizens of course are going to report a missing gun when discovered. Straw purchasers of course are simply going to say they didn't know it was missing. Either way i dont see how you can prove a timeline of when a person knew

Can you then start your 24 hours and report it missing? If you think so I have a nice bridge for sale.

About the only way to get a true inkling is to read the actual code section. Unfortunately, perhaps because of weak google-fu, I was able to find the Philly codes but not the one that details the lost or missing report requirement. Maybe you'll have better results.

Doesn't someone need to be charged first so they have standing to file a lawsuit?

Of course this sets up gun rights groups perhaps having to defend a less than stellar character, and/or else allows a leftist judge to issue an "Any reasonable law abiding citizen should know where his guns are at all times" BS ruling.

I suspect the DA knows this. The Left always pushes the envelope. That's what they do.
