Re: MantisX training system
I've been really thinking about getting one. Just waiting on the price to come down a bit.

Re: MantisX training system
I guess not many on here have one. Was wondering if I created a PAFOA group if there were any that would join.
@KJP442 - I think it's pretty well priced for the technology behind it. It provides some pretty great feedback. I have the iTarget Pro as well. That thing sucks in my opinion. Wish I wouldn't have spent that money. Then again we'll always have gun stuff we say that about LOL.Eddie

Re: MantisX training system
Regular MantisX is staying at 149. They’re releasing two more versions one for a rifle which will be 199 and the X10 which is an upgraded version for the handgun which will be 249. The new features on that are awesome. I’ll be getting one of those. So I’ll end up selling my standard. I’d offer it to a member here at a good price when the time comes

LOL I hear ya! But it is a great tool to identify where you really are and give an idea of the issue. Now correcting the issues has proved difficult for me, but I'm taking it slow.
Yeah the new one will monitor holster draw and other things. I can't find any text on it yet. I did email them and asked when the x10 would be available and they responded that they're shooting for March to start taking orders.Eddie

Re: MantisX training system
I have the new one, the X10. I never had the old one, but this one is really nice with the quick disconnect vs a screw. It does work very well to analyze trigger pull and combined with a laser cartridge it's an effective system. I've definitely seen improvement. The one big advantage the new model has is in regards to holster draw like Twospot mentioned. To do this though, you need to mount the Mantis someplace other than the built in rail unless your holster supports that (probably not). Best thing is to mount the Mantis to the bottom of the magazine. In order to do this, I custom designed some Universal Magazine rails and they work really well. If anyone is interested, I have them up on eBay, just search for "Universal Mantisx rail" and you'll find them....
