Re: Retro Galil rifle ( not IWI ACE) is revealed at shot show 2019
Thanks for info, correction made.
I glad someone like that rifle but I thought it was a junk. I had one briefly thankfully the gun shop took it back. Goloni(s) were typical parts kit guns made with unrefined parts by Century arms The sights were crude and the rifle would constantly jam with 55 gr ammo. It worked OK with higher grain ammo. It went back to Century for that reason. They sent it back claiming it was fixed. It wasn't. I took it back to the store who also called Century Arms who said that I should just shoot heavier ammo out of it. The store was nice enough to buy it back. The next time I visited the store I was told that Century Arms recalled them. A parts kit gun assembled by Century Arms ; what can possibly go wrong?

Re: Retro Galil rifle ( not IWI ACE) is revealed at shot show 2019
I know a lot of century products are hit or miss but my Golani only failed to fire once when I shot the first magazine. After that one failure the rifle was totally reliable and just as accurate as any other AK but it really did chuck ejected rounds quite a distance and dented the casing making it impossible to reload. Lots of firearms are ammo sensitive and will function better with lighter or heavier loads depending on the rifle. I still regret selling it because it was a good rifle for the price I paid.

I had a rifle similar to this in the 80s. made by Deawoo I believe, it was cool. folding metal stock, pop up front sight. pretty accurate felt like a AK but a tiny bit shorter maybe.

I'm not paying $1200 for a 5.56 AK variant, as cool as I think the classic Galil is. Once prices start to drop, I should be able to get a Bren 2 for a few hundred more. I'd sooner have the 7.62x51 version of the Galil. That I'd buy...probably.

Usually the SRP is higher than the shelf price. The video didn't elaborate on the quality and due to a windy range day the guy testing it could vouch for accuracy. If it does come to market it might be best to wait until the bugs ( if any) get detected and resolved. With shot show going on this week, maybe some else will provide a more detailed video on it and if the company has any plans for other calibers.

Unless it is going to be made by some reputable established manufacturer, I don't have high hopes.

IWI. I'd even trust PSA over ATI.

How about PTR....they've done well with their H&K knockoffs?
