Retro Galil rifle ( not IWI ACE) is revealed at shot show 2019

According to this you tube video from shot show, a company called ATI is going to release a copy of the Galil rifle from the 80s. It’s going to be in 5.56, price is estimated at $1200. Unknown if it will have the hidden/fold up night sights.

I hope they made it with the hidden night sights, bipod wire cutters and the bottle opener built into the magazine release lever. That rifle had everything short of the kitchen sink. It also a relief to know that century Arms isn't involved with the production.

I don't know. A Galil, at it's heart is still an AK, and you know how US-made AKs tend to be.

There are tons of Galil parts kits available now as Israel has gotten rid of all their old Galils. So if these are combined with some of the good US made receivers and barrels it should be a win.

I think they are responsible for most of the 22 caliber clones that have been brought out such as the H&K G36 rifle.

I don't know why IWI didn't produce a retro Galil, the new Galil does nothing for me but I might be all in if the ATI Galil gets good reviews. I had a century Golani, one of the first batches released and it was a good gun. I shouldn't have sold it :-(
