    And what do you use for ranges under 300 yards ? (Maybe 100 with the '06)

    I have inherited two of those, haven't shot either. I buy the .338's when I find a decent deal...that means I have about 4 boxes of it. I would like to give them a shot (pun intended) one of these days.

    I have a Ruger 77 with a muzzle brake in .338 I put a 4~12x40mm scope on it and it shoots great with Hornady 225gr. Superformance ammo.

    I wonder what you're paying for that...there is an ammo vendor who frequents the Oaks show and he has two or three boxes of Win SuperX (don't know the wt). The last time I wasted my time talking to him he wanted $60/box.
