    Don't know if it is still under the same name, but a product called "GUNKOTE" used to do the trick. It is a bake on thing.

    They could also be Cerakoted for even more wear resistance. I did a competitors base plates for three of his handguns (10 magazines each) in three different colors. Handguns were similar in style so he knew at a glance which mags went with which guns.

    Thanks all.
    I never really thought of a Sharpie but I may try that just to see. And I guess if I carefully brush on some black paint on the outside it wouldn't have a negative effect. Thank you for the ideas.

    I've carried at work for years with no worries but some new scrubs I purchased recently seem to have much shallower pockets and I notice the butt can be seen sometimes. Not so much worried about adults seeing it but there's a good number of kids in the office, and I don't want a pair of eyes at waist level noticing it and asking mom or dad. I don't need the controversy

    Screw a base pad on it. Better insertion anyway.
