Renewing an LTCF in a different county

When you have a valid PA LTCF and move into a new county, eventually you will renew your LTCF in the new county. As far as the LTCF form goes, do you check the "renew" box or are you viewed as a new applicant?

Since it's just one box to check and you'll be seeing the sheriff face to face I'd just ask him which he preferred.

My county sheriff has a clerk to handle applications and renewals, but he did pop his head out of his office to make sure everyone was being taken care of properly (does that count?).

Sure does! Ask him quick what he wants on that line.

Since the county sheriff is the issuing authority , and some sheriff depts. are less cordial to LTCF holders , most of the time it will be treated as a new application.
