    Default Kriss Vector 9

If you were offered a Kriss Vector 9 with side folder brace like new for an amazing price would you jump on it. Pretty much like this one, but in the Kriss OD like green and an upgraded muzzle brake. Asking for a friend

I'd probably pass. They don't much apoeal to me but are interesting looking guns.I've wondered what that bulk just in front of the trigger is all about.

It's definitely just a neat factor thing - I've always liked them for whatever reason. The price is right, but have never read too much about them good or bad...……...

The bolt travels down behind the mag.

I think as a pistol the Kriss is ungainly even with the brace so I wouldn't buy one at any price. I wouldn't mind having the carbine since it's more useful and practical.

I think the concept loses most if not all of its value in a semi auto only gun.

I had the 45 ACP carbine version with a fake suppressor. It was to big and bulky for what it was. The controls were in awkward positions. One of the main characteristics of the gun was that recoil was going to be reduced because of the "gas pump handle" configuration. However I never notice much reduction. People who had an opportunity to fire it in full auto claim the reduction is only felt in full auto. I traded it off. I was not impressed.
Also note that it was difficult to charge the carbine. The charging handle required a hard snappy pull or it wasn't going to be enough to get the gun into battery. I don't know if they corrected this problem or this condition extends to the 9mm. I would suggest trying the charging handle to help make your decision.

That's where the bolt counterweight slides down to minimize muzzle rise during F/A. Rather ingenious, but doesn't do much for semi-auto firing. I do dislike the charging handle, just awkward, but I do enjoy the Vector overall, it's a unique firearm. We have a 45ACP SMG version and customers love the insane cyclic rate but I really enjoy shooting it on the double-tab 2-round burst setting.
