25-2 & 625 Chamber throat diameters
I've an old S&W Mod 25-2 that has been serving me very well for over 20 years. One of its foibles is cylinder throat diameters are larger than the 0.452" groove diameter of the barrel. So I use 0.454" diameter cast or coated lead bullets to reduce gas blow-by. Not long ago I got the idea to replace the cylinder with a new one. But htat makes sense only if the new cylinders are manufactured with 0.452 throats. So I asked one friend who owns a 625 Performance Center model that he bought a few years ago. He tells me that the throats of his gun measure 0.454".
Would those of you who own S&W Model 25-2 or 625 revolvers please measure the throats on your revolvers and post the results here?
Thanks in advance!

Re: 25-2 & 625 Chamber throat diameters
Went to Smith and Wesson Forums, found discussion on 25-2s. They speak of throats all the way out to .459 and some at .452. Interesting thread:
