Don't worry, someone will bring up the decades old NYPD incidents.

12 pound triggers are great for accuracy. That's why Jerry Miculek uses them. Come to think of it, I wonder what would be the result if he did fire a session using one. Might be interesting.

The NYC echo phenomenon in the stairwell resulted in 41 rounds fired, but any member of POOFA would not have fallen for that.

They are a thing of the past. I remember the first day they came back to Boyertown. Yea it was a big deal but eventually they faded away.

My Father was born in 44. He told me he could rember seeing the crosses burning ontop of cannon hill. (where the big blue waters are. ) Behind those towers are a base ball field and a cement altar type thing. In that area they burned the crosses.
Girl in my HS class (1982) did a speech on the stuff they found in her grandfathers cabin after he died. Turned out he was fairly high up in the local Klan. She brought in his robes and some documents along with the box they were in, hidden under the floorboards. Said her mother was speechless.

Along with the robes she also had a copy of a book detailing the history of West Lawn Borough (Wilson High School). There were pics of a parade (Memorial Day?) years ago with the Klan having a float going right down Penn Avenue.

I don't know what's left now, but they were pretty numerous around Reading back in the day.

IIRC my mother in law said something similar about her grandfather. No one knew until he died.

"No one knew until he died".

Guess those look-alike Knights in White Satin kinda did that for him.

The only down side to this is, it’s still only one armed officer who covers 10 schools. Officer Perez floats between the schools.

What? What? I mean on TV and in the movies, they shoot to wound and are darn good at it!

Armed and trained officers and citizens along with improved safety procedures, awareness, and access limits are what the schools need right now. Nothing is fail safe, but these facilities can and should be hardened and made less attractive and uncertain targets for the criminal or the the insane. Right now, they are easy pickings and every would be perp out there knows it.

The false comfort that many derive from the "Gun Free Zone" signs is just that; false comfort. Legislators always want to frame gun bans in terms of people feeling safe, they never want to consider people actually being safe.
