Would You Replace Your CCW If ...
I have a Ruger LC9S. A month or two prior, a piece of the the flat recoil spring broke off and made the gun inoperable. The upper half of the spring had broken off and it wouldn't sit flush on the guide rod. Nightmare to get it apart. No problem, I called Ruger and they sent me a new one free and I carried my 92FS in the meantime. This past trip to the range, magazines started falling out after each shot. I could even rip the magazines out without pressing the release. I ordered a new magazine catch and replaced it. Not only do the magazines not fall out, it ejects much smoother now also so that was actually a positive thing in the end. I don't worry about malfunctions because it eats anything but suddenly, I'm worried about parts breaking. I got the gun in June of 2016 and I've shot it A LOT since then. I've had to replace a few parts here and there on most of my guns but I'm not sure if I'd call this normal wear and tear or not. What do you guys think? I plan on keeping it, it's been function tested since I replaced those parts and it works as it should but I'm not sure if I'll continue to carry it or not.

Guns are machines. They break, replace the worn parts, test until satisfied and carry

I like to put 300 rounds or more through a gun without any issues before it becomes my CC.

I won’t keep a machine I can’t trust. Cars, guns, tools, if it won’t do its job, fix it, or fling it in the garbage.

I've had pistols break.
Glock 23 rear rail came off in a 800 plus round class.
Damn thing never missed a beat.
The new receiver has a 1 in front of the s/n.
It runs fine and I carried it after few hundred rounds.
A G32 broke a spring. Replaced it. Ran it. It's on my belt right now.
Kahr P9 had a double reset.
Sent it back. They fixed it. I carry it.
As another said. Its mechanical. Shit happens.
I got a Toto toilet , fill valve broke. I replaced it and still shit there.Opinions are like anal apertures. They all stink but mine.

You've lost faith and trust in it. Time to move on and make it a range gun or find er a new home.

What in the hell is a "CCW"?
I've got handguns, I've got a carbine, but no CCWs.
