Get Sheriff Mullen to help the citizens of Pittsburgh fight unconstitutional law?

I've heard in the past that the County Sheriff has the power to help the citizens from unconstitutional law. I wonder if Sheriff Mullen would be willing to go to the meeting on the 24th? Here's a link with a series of videos.

I have taken the time to write the PA Attorney General a kind note. I asked if it was not to inconvenient could he possibly find time to perform his job and uphold PA Constitution and the PA Criminal Code as he took the oath to do. Ok.... so maybe that is not exactly how I phrased it.

I'm 99% certain that Mullen supported an assault weapon ban many years ago - either before he ran, or while running for sheriff.

In 49 other states, the sheriff is the supreme law enforcement officer for the county, technically (Connecticut did away with county governments, and Alaska has some counties but not many, so I'm not sure how they would play into the picture).

In the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the sheriff is not considered a law enforcement officer (except maybe Allegheny County), so there's not too much any county sheriff could do.

What about the county police, or the local Staties? If the city council passes this ordinance, they are breaking the law. We should contact all of them and see what their position is. If they sit on their hands, they all need to be publicly shamed for dereliction of duty.
