Rules are written in the stone,
Break the rules and you get no bones,
all you get is ridicule, laughter,
and a trip to the house of pain.

Re: Get Sheriff Mullen to help the citizens of Pittsburgh fight unconstitutional law?
Well not according to the PA Attorney General, as his office has responded to my email stating the Office of the Attorney General does not have a role in this process. The "executive office" has determined this is a local matter and should be discussed with local officials. Ok, so using that logic, if you were fortunate enough to live in a county, or township that passed an ordnance granting CCW with no LTCF requirement all is well right? Seems to work in Pittsburgh, or do you then think the PA AG would hope off the fence and enforce the state requirements? Anyone else care to see if they get a different response for the PA AG's office?

Re: Get Sheriff Mullen to help the citizens of Pittsburgh fight unconstitutional law?
Since the proposed Pittsburgh laws would apply to all members of the Commonwealth when traveling to or through Pittsburgh it seems a court challenge is in order. Hopefully, an "organization" with legal council on the payroll would present a challenge on behalf of ALL the citizens of the Commonwealth.

The minute the mayor signs it, it seems to me the thing to do would be to file a private criminal complaint (preemption violation, conspiracy & official oppression) against the mayor and all the council members that voted "Yea" on the ordinance. One copy to the District Magistrate Judge and one copy to the local media.

Keep suing at every opportunity. That is how the ACLU and their minions do it. They use special Xmas display systems so that the moment a creche, lords prayer plaque, pledge of allegiance plaque is discovered, they launch a lawsuit.

Re: Get Sheriff Mullen to help the citizens of Pittsburgh fight unconstitutional law?
Doesn't matter if it's unconstitutional, isn't it also a criminal offense? Is he prepared to file criminal charges against the mayor and the council members that vote for it?
