So, my dad had this Maverick 88 in a soft case in his garage for about a year now without touching it. It had that god awful glossy blue finish, a falling apart tacstar side saddle and a Hogue 12" LOP stock. The issue with the 12" LOP stock is that my dad is 6' 2" but he put the short stock on it because his wife can't shoulder the longer one. Well, I was bored and decided I wanted to refinish something. I sandblasted the barrel, magazine tube, receiver and bolt then blued them all matte black, added a Mesa Tactical shell carrier and a collapsible stock. The M88 is the only Mossberg that makes sense to put a pistol grip on and now my dad AND his wife can use the same gun comfortably.

Behold! I used a tacstar stock adapter, A2 covered in grip tape, M4 stock and buffer tube that I had in my parts and a limbsaver M4 pad.
