I don't know how I missed that either. I'm surprised that VA hasn't reciprocated. Sarcasm intentional. I lived in VA for almost thirty years, and return there often, because my two kids both live there. It's a beautiful state, with ocean beaches, scenic national and state parks, many lakes and rivers, and lots of historical sites, from Mt. Vernon to Appamatox, Arlington Cemetery, etc.

How ridiculous. A step backward from constitutional carry. How soon before VA. no longer accepts PA?
It would take a change in VA law because VA's legislature forced a universal recognition because their reciprocity signer was pulling shit like AG Kane was doing.

I figured VA would drop PA so I obtained a VA non resident permit as soon as PA dropped them. It takes a while but it did arrive. It is covered on VA website but I think its 3 months. I do travel there in the summer months.

If, as noted above, VA still recognizes PA, the only advantage in VA of a VA non-res is the GFSZA not applying. That said, a question to the group:

Does the GFSZA apply during summer when schools are out of session and completely empty?

Not sure, but I remember a guy in VA. getting pinched while walking his dog past the high school at 10 PM during Christmas break, open carry. One of the neighbors complained. Actually the owner of the dog who ran loose in the neighborhood, which was one of the reasons the guy was carrying.
