Default First MP 15 Sport 2

Jan 3, 2019 Bought my first AR, the MP 15 Sport 2, 5.56 cal. at French Creek. Called support and found it was made in 9/ 2018.

I would like to make some upgrades and would like some suggestions. For ex.:

Will the ProMag PM242 AR-15/M4 Polymer Quad-Rail Carbine Handguard fit on M&P 15 Sport 2?

Also Is there some good take downs etc. videos to research?

    TIA.

Trigger is a good first upgrade. ALG ACT Trigger is cheap and a nice improvement over stock.

Any carbine length drop in hand guard will fit.

There are probably a million and one disassembly videos on Youtube.

There are countless take-down/cleaning videos. I haven't personally watched this one but I think Mr. Guns & Gear usually does pretty good beginner vids

Sorry can't help with your handguard question. Congrats on your purchases

French Creek? I always thought that their prices were insane.

MrGunsNGear has some excellent cleaning videos. As far as hand guards as already said any carbine length will work but personally would stay away from anything Primag makes. They have a shitty track record and Polly picitiny rails are weak attachment points that often shift under pretty which I know from experience.

Check this out any use this coupon code. TAKE15 Marked this entire Magpul kit to $59.00 shipped.

My favorite AR upgrade was a Geissele trigger. I got the Super Three gun trigger. It was expensive, but awesome. Second is P-Mags.

Good point. Mags and ammo are the best accessories to buy.

Have the same gun on my wish list for my first AR being an M&P guy. Don't know what you paid but saw them at Sportsmans Superstore for $499 with Magpul components. Looks like a nice introductory choice to the AR family.

This ! Especially since it's your first . Learn how everything works , learn to shoot it accurately . How it looks is secondary
