I don't like the slings for AR's. Will an M-1 leather sling work. My MP 15 swivels are 24" apart. I prefer to wrap my forearm around a leather sling.

What slings don't you like? Single point are mostly crap used for vehicles and 3 point are complete crap.

The standard two point is far superior to most anything else unless you like laying on the ground in a shooting jacket and rolling in and out of a sling.

Standard USGI web sling like for the M1A will do what you want it to, I used them for years in high power matches. Since I've learned how to use one of the slide adjustable two points I have found them to be superior especially for the AR15.

Excellent easy to use sling for cheap.

Same sling as above but padded.

As far as leather slings go my sling for my O3-A4 sling won't fit my sling swivels correctly but I use the stock cuts to mount my slings.

    Congrats on your new ar.

Mags and ammo would be #1 on the list.

Other stuff (red dot or furniture) is secondary.

The only thing I did to mine was put on double heat shield hand grips. I found take offs for 7 bucks. Nice red dot on sale works too.

I've competed with slings like that and it's what came with my 03-A4. It might fit on your carbine if it has standard bottoms mounted sling swivels in the front and rear which most carbine don't (in the rear) that's more of a 20" A2 stock configuration.

If your buying the one below then I guess your in luck since the basic stock has a bottom mounted sling swivel. Your most likely going to be stuck with it since I can't think of to many replacement stocks that have lower rear mounted sling swivels or even QD swivels there since they limit you on how you can use a sling on a modern carbine.
