Yugo M57 or Mossberg Maverick 12ga for Home Defense

Have a few firearms around the house for HD. There is a tight area in the kitchen where I like to keep something in case someone came in the back door.
It is an older townhouse with cinder block and plaster walls.
Which would you use in a situation like that a fire everytime M57 with hollow points or the 12ga. Thanks guys

neighbors on each side with good walls between. I have to think any shot I take would front to back or back to front of house. Not side to side

7.62x25 seems like overkill for home defense but I've no idea how the HPs perform

Pump Shotgun.

Shoot until the threat has abated, then reload.

Go with a pump shotgun loaded with bird and/or #4 buckshot. There are also "less lethal" loads on the market as well.

Whatever load you go with, get out to a range and practice with it. Know how it recoils, feeds and ejects. Do this before you just place the weapon in a closet and/or under the bed.

When a home intruder just hears the unmistakable sound of a pump shotgun being "racked", he/she/they should head out the other way to avoid a confrontation.

If it comes to a fight, you'll be well armed with a ammo selection listed above to confront them. The ammo should not be a riochet problem, less likely to penatrate walls, etc.

Use the M57 pistol as your "close-in" handheld denfense weapon, if it comes to that. Aslo, get out and practise.
