WOW that is a tough decision to make - but at the end of day I would have to say based on what I own and if I could only have 1 it would be my Glock 29! WHY!? because it's a very versatile pistol. I can shoot 3 different calibers (10mm, 357 sig and 40 s&w) by just switching barrels and using the same 10mm mags. Its versatile enough for self defense in bear country and EDC. Has a rail for a laser or light and it accepts g20 15 round mags.

I know you guys think I will need my head examined, but it's my 38 special revolver. Just think about it, #1. hell of a lot of less parts to go break down, #2, never jams, #3,no stovepipes, and #4, no mags to get bent or dirty. #5, Never have to worry about what it will eat. I think I'll never need more than six shots, and if I do I will bend over and kiss my butt goodbye.

    Why stop at a .38? A 3" barreled 357 magnum would be my choice. Ideally a S&W model 66.

.357, yes, but I'd go with Dan Wesson Pistol Pac.

Thank the good Lord that we live in a mostly unrestricted state which allows us to keep our rights to have more than one ! It's a fun mental game to play and see which you'd keep and why... Like I said before ,for true pistols, I'd go 1911 but the Glock 9mm would make more sense in a teotwawki scenario, just from an availability/usefulness point of view. Next would be the 357/38 and then .22 - IMO.
