Let's try not to eat our own too much here. BigRed is doing a good service by managing the facebook page for this event. Whether we like it or not facebook is a big vector for getting the word out about these kind of events.

There are currently 408 "I'm going" responses and 2.2K "interested" responses on the main event page.

I plan on attending this year and my dad is coming along. I’ve always wanted to go but work got in the way. I’m still deciding about breakfast and the after party. I’m thinking we’ll stay outside since I don’t like crowded enclosed areas.

Last year before I found the group, I hung out on the top balcony (outside of the House of Reps doors) and listened. No crowd up there. A few reps came out and listened for a minute or two and left. If you can't handle crowds, take the steps all the way up top and you can still hear the speeches without getting elbowed.

They probably thought I was an intern. That's where dressing semi-professionally for this can help.
