Default Does anybody use firearms in their home decorating?

I was curious if anyone still hanging the old musket over the mantle of the fireplace. I recently hung this in our family room and although I知 not getting praises from the wife she痴 OK with it. I知 interested if anyone has similar ideas. I知 not necessarily looking for a picture of your AR in the corner or a shotgun on the bed, If you have any similar things going on your house I thought it would be a different idea to share the photos or description.

I'm too nervous about possible theft to display anymore than I do.

I have a few rifles on a old wall rack because my safe is full. I've pulled the bolts out of them just as a precaution.

I have a couple Mosins over the fireplace. Not too expensive to lose and springs are removed from the bolts.mosins.jpg

^^^That looks great. The dark walnut of the mantle makes the rifles look as they belong there.

Do you guys remove part of the firing mechanism’s for peace of mind if they get stolen or possibly used against you or do you have kids in the house?

My thought on removing the bolt was more of a tracking issue. I figure a crackhead that takes a rifle into a gun store/pawn shop without a bolt will raise eyebrows. At least that was my hope

Going to hang a Damascus double barrel on the wall.

    Hell if I'd fire it.

Mine have two parts missing from the bolts. If you take one off the wall the rear section of the bolt falls out

Yes, now have some original Colt SAA's in the Den. Had a repro Colt Walker (on mantel in Den) and a repro Pennsylvania Long Rifle hanging above the fireplace.
