A guy in Wind Gap shot a shotgun in the basement, went through the floor through the wall and even broke the neighbour's window. For HD I have a Ruger GP100 4 inch barrel loaded with a home defense round. Plenty of stopping power and hopefully with that ammo I won't hit family in another room or a neighbor.

    I missed that. I use a 38special HD round. In that GP100 it's a pleasure to shoot.

Do you want it just to have a revolver? or do you have a purpose for it? If its just to have a revolver and use for defence. I would personally get a Ruger Alaskan 454 and shoot 45 LC out of it. Almost no recoil, heavy bullet. Cant be loaded from soft to barely manageable. They hold their value and are rock solid. You can find 45lc at almost any gun store and .454 at most.

LOOKING FOR RECOMMENDATIONS AS TO WHICH REVOLVER IS BEST FOR SELF DEFENSE HOME SECURITY PURPOSES; 357 OR 44 MAG? WOULD IT MATTER IF THE MANUFACTURER WERE SMITH & WESSON OR TAURUS OR OTHER?
This has got to be the strangest post ever. Please don’t do what I’m about to ask you to do, all in caps.

I’m going to wait until it gets necroed in 10yrs to post my opinion.

Does that mean you’ve made up your mind on which one you’re going to get? You’ve had a lot of good suggestions and recommendations, I’m curious as to what you’ve decided to buy.
