Petition to stop the bump stock ban
https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/pet...-firearm-parts
Please look at the website. They are trying to get 100,000 signatures by January 20th. So far, the response is dismal. I signed it. They send an email back to verify the signature.
What is very disconcerting is this site is ONE among a list of many petitions to ban bump stocks. Google petition to stop bump fire stock ban and you'll see the overwhelming efforts supporting ban.

I sent it to most of my contacts and am getting good reports of signings and pass-ons.

Re: Petition to stop the bump stock ban
I applaud the effort, but the fact is this:
The "We the People" petitions are a complete farce. They were when Obama created them, and they still are now. Is there even one single Whitehouse petition that provoked any any executive action?

One of the problems may be that they resemble a chain letter model. I was just hoping that enough numbers might give pause.
