    Default Banged up carry pieces?

I recently bought this Italian 92FS. I noticed this small chip / gouge in the alloy frame. Not sure if it was from the factory, dealership, or I did it somehow.

Do you let these types of marks bother you in guns that you intended for carry and defense? I’ve seen pics of M9s in the service, and they look downright thrashed.

Jeez American you're more particular than even I am!!!

I don't let it bother me too much. My carry weapons are not very expensive. I've taken falls with an LC9s on my mountain bike, so it's been demoted to "risky activity" carry where more damage may occur.

There's a difference between abuse and honest wear. Also it doesn't affect function of the tool. Safe Queens have a higher standard for me though...

If it doesn't affect function, and would never be noticed unless you point it out, then no.

My carry guns have been through all kinds of stuff. They have gone fishing and been to the beach, ridden under the motorcycle seat and so on. While I have never intentionally abused them, they have seen a hard life. The valuable ones stay safe and put away.

Banged up? That's NIB in my opinion Even the guns used in clint eastwoods spaghetti westerns
    aren't banged up.

Sounds like a good enough reason to buy a new toy to me!

Jayzuss, you're picky. If I wouldn't feel it (and, based on the photo, I wouldn't), I would never give that a 2nd thought. Or a 1st, for that matter.

Flat brown model paint, applied with the sharp end of a toothpick. All better.
