PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) Within a seven-hour span Wednesday night, eight people were shot in six different shootings, according to authorities. Two of the victims have died, including a teenager.
Just a few days ago, nine people were gunned down in Philadelphia; one was killed. The homicide rate has been steadily hovering at about 10 percent since this time last year, with more gun arrests than last year.

It's pretty bad when someone has to shoot up a graduation party.

Yep but hey, when you know that there's not price to pay for it, why not? Brought to you by Krasner
    & Kenny...for the people.
Sorry but I'm all out of pity right now, please try later.

State Sen. Anthony Williams has publicly called on Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf to declare a state of emergency over the surge in gun violence in Philadelphia.

Williams, a Democrat representing Philadelphia, wrote Wolf a letter on Monday urging state action to stem the increase in shootings. The violence was headlined by a Father's Day rampage that left one man dead and five others wounded at a graduation party on Sunday. The incident occurred in Williams' district in Southwest Philadelphia.

Yep, he did not want to go on record by saying Krasner's to blame, but that's what he meant.

"Krasner’s spokesperson, Jane Roh, said in an email Monday that the office’s policy was to bring charges in gun cases “100 percent of the time when the law and the facts in arrests made by Philadelphia police and other law enforcement support them.”"

They bring charges, then give them a slap on the wrist, putting the repeaters back on the street.
