Walther ppk ejector

Took my ppk to the range today and it jammed after every round. It looked like the ejector was hung up a bit, and by pulling back on the slide slightly, it loaded the next round fine. I know it could be any number of things, but is an ejector something that can go bad after a while ? Or is it more likely I messed it up a bit during field stripping ( it did pop off last time when I was cleaning it and I just put it back in place ) ? Any thoughts ? My ppk is about 15 years old.

Ok, I'm a moron. I pulled up the schematic on the gun and see there is a ejector spring. I figured when the ejector came off last time I cleaned it, I'll bet the spring fell out. I stripped it today, and sure enough, spring was gone. I checked my cleaning towel that I lay down on my bence and sure enough, it was still in there - lucky ! Hopefully my dumb move will help someone else down the road !

So I found the ejector spring, and even with the schematic, I can't figure out how the spring goes back ! I've tried every angle, tried getting the spring in the hole and sticking out, tried getting in in the grooves instead of the hole, no luck, feel like a real idiot. Tried youtube, everything, no luck. If anyone is able to explain, or post of pic of what it should look like, I'd love to get my ppk back together and working.

Finally figured it out. After a day of checking multiple sites, seeing many posts from others having the same issue but no real answer, I finally read one post that talked about the spring being in the groove of the ejector itself, then found a better schematic than the one on numrich and it showed a better view of how the spring goes ! Here is the schematic in case anyone else has the same problem, it doesn't seem too uncommon ?

There's a ball about the size of a BB that goes in first then the spring an then a push rod with a mortised end. The long side of this little notch goes to the outside. Looks to me like they're using a . 32 ejector in a . 22 to use up old parts or something. It's not correct for this gun because the extractor isn't notched the opposite to receive this little rod. Very cheap made. I've sent mine back twice already an fixing to send it back to them again an tell them to send me a gun.
