Default Broward county deputy sheriffs to have carbines to protect schools

The sheriff called them carbines. The Miami Herald called them 5.56 caliber rifles. Guess no one wants to say they will be relying on AR-15s.

Photo in the Herald sure looks like an AR-15 type to me.

An "assault rifle" is a "patrol rifle" in a cop's hands.

Don't laugh, I put my hockey puck bag next to my night stand and no one has broken into my house since. It's working as a deterrent.

Just another feel good measure that doesn't do shit to solve the real problem.
Sticks and stones will break my bones but hollow points expand on impact.
