There's a website called Leverguns devoted to all sorts of leverguns and their use and care.

    http://www.leverguns.com/

One of the contributors has created a business of making Rossis work better. http://stevesgunz.com/

There are some good articles there. Years ago, I had some correspondence with Steve about his "Action Work" for Rossis. The time, expense, and uncertainty of outcome helped lead me to go with Henry.

With my Henry, the only resources I have needed are the customer service number and website videos for technical tips and accessories.

This guy has a set of videos for smoothing out and doing an action job on the Rossi 92. I used his info to get mine ready to race in a couple of hours. Worth a watch for anyone looking to do some smithin' on their Rossi.

    I haven't handled or shot a Rossi. I have a Henry Frontier model .22.

    I also have a Marlin 1894cs in .357

The Marlin is a great gun, it's fun to shoot and handle. I have had issues cycling 38 specials in it. I have worked on the lever to smooth it out and get past the jam so any of my reloads will work in it. Mine is older though and JM stamped.

The Henry is also a great gun and very smooth. I have not had to work on it.

I like the tube magazine on the 22. I prefer the side load on the 357. I would also want side load if I ever get my hands on my dream 35 remington lever gun.

I would think you can't go wrong with any of them. It is a great gun for all types of things. 38's are great for introducing new shooters and plinking, 357 can handle hunting. Mine anyway, is short enough to hold in your hand and let hang at your side without touching the ground.

My suggestion is handle them in person together at the same time. You should get a feel for the one for you.
I recently did this. I was set to buy the M&P 22 compact. I asked to see it side by side with the Ruger SR22. I walked out with the Ruger which I wasn't expecting.

Whatever one you choose, I'd love to hear a report on it.
