Glock night sight tool
Santa brought me a set of Trijicon night sights for Christmas.
Two questions:
Anyone around Bucks/Mont area have a sight pusher and want to make a few bucks?
Anyone got an idea what the local gunsmith is going to charge for installing them?

If I wasn't six hours away I would do it for free. Check with your local shop. As stated above, it will be free or up to fifteen bucks or so depending on how loyal of a customer you are! Enjoy the Trijicons. They are my favorite.

Ok, thanks . I looked at buying the tools, but can’t justify it. $15-20 isn’t bad, and it helps a local business.
Thanks again!

Re: Glock night sight tool
Update. I called the local gunsmith shop.EZ Precision . Nice lady answered, says yes, they do those. I ask for a ballpark figure. Boldly states “$65”.
So, I head to the garage and dig out my soft jaws and hammer and punches and installed them myself.
I believe in supporting local businesses, but not when they want to anally violate me with an un-lubricated cactus!

I have the wheeler sight pusher, works pretty good. If you need anything in the future...(or anyone near Bath, Pa 18014 for that matter).

Re: Glock night sight tool
WOW, $65 for Glock sights is outrageous (actually for most any replacement sights that are in dovetails it's way to much). I charge $15 and do them while you wait (for both the front and rear, $10 if just the rear) because they are one of the easier guns to do that work. I will charge a bit more for certain pistols because they are in so tight (and some are Loctited also) or there are pieces under the rear sight that you have to take into account when removing/installing. I never have charged over $30 unless the sights are not standard sights and the dovetails or the sights themselves need to get worked on to have them fit properly. For clarification, I do NOT do any work on the slide dovetails unless the owner tells me to because once metal is removed, a standard sight won't fit anymore without more extensive work.
