A 1911 A1. With my two Sigs their's no real purpose of shooting a 1911.

I've been passing over most of my 1911s. Will start with them again in January, I kinda miss their bang.

For me that would be a reason to take it, maybe more often, to figure out what is going on (is it the gun or is it me?)

For me it is a tough call when I go out, do I take only my single action Rugers, my double action Rugers, various semi autos, or a mixture. Typically I'll take out a semi auto .22 (rifle or handgun), a centerfire semi auto, a centerfire double action and an AR platform, lately it's been my suppressed SBR (just to it show off) and either the Garand or the M1Carbine.

Most times I will take some of my guns that are suppressed so that if there are other shooters who seem interested I can explain the suppressor laws in PA (and maybe generate a bit of business )

I never pass over a gun. The look on someone's face when they touch off a super magnum can't be beat. The more guns someone has a chance to shoot the more they get interested and may buy more guns.

Guns that don't get to the range often have been surpassed by others that I've learned are better or discovered perform better for me. So,

S&W M&P9 < CZ75B < CZ75 P01, so the P01 is my range 9mm. The other 9mms are ready for HD and go to the range maybe twice a year.
S&W1911E is my only 45ACP, is the only one needed, so it goes to the range.
Ruger MarkIII Hunter < Ruger MarkIV Hunter, so the MkIV is my range 22.

As for rifles, frankly my AR15s don't get to the range very often any more. They've been dropped in favor of bolts from the bench in 223, 308, 30-06, and 338LM that are more accurate and serve different purposes.

It's actually one of my favorite guns. It' no worse than anything else I have shot and it shoots well too. It does zing a bit but you get used to it. The most comfortable is my Commander.

My Commander consistently shoots left and the groups aren't particulalry tight either. The rear sight appears to slide but it needs a good banging for which I don't have the righ tools.
