Default Who had the Advantage, Who was more Aware?

I was in a Wal Mart in Louisiana couple of weeks ago and I went up to the Deli to get some fried chicken. At the counter waiting to order was a man in his early 40's with his pistol openly displayed on his hip (which of course I noticed right away). I was also carrying my sidearm, but since mine was concealed in my pocket, he had no idea I was even armed. So to those here who advocate open carry, please tell me who was more aware of what the situation actually was, and had I been a bad guy intent on harm, who had the advantage? Now be honest!

Being Aware is subjective, OC is a choice, lets play the what if game. If you were bad guy in a place where OC/CC is permitted and you attempted to draw or take the OC weapon who is to say that another citizen standing nearby and watching you doesn't put two in your brain pan while you have tunnel vision. Just being honest. In general the criminals normally don't practice situational awareness and many of the regular public are oblivious as they text, pick their noses are absorbed in their mundane conversations.

And just to add to this, the guy that put 2 in you just a year ago started carrying because he noticed a guy with a gun on his hip at the deli and struck up a conversation. He had no idea he was even allowed to carry a gun around legally until that conversation, and you just tried to kill his range buddy.

And as long as we're telling stories, he also became more aware of the 2a situation from his early on conversation at the deli, and started voting for pro 2a canidates, calling his Congress critters, and active at the state rallies where he helped get legislation pushed through legalizing deli carry, which until a few months ago had been outlawed.

Oh really? Let's see, my hand is on the weapon from the get go, I flick off the safety pull it out and I am ready to go. Yeah, that's pretty useless.

Loss Control watching the store security cameras has the advantage and has already called police.

What I get from this thread is you didnt have the balls to strike up a conversation let alone grab hes gun, so his oc prevented confrontation from atleast one person
