Rocket launchers turned in at buybacks....
Baltimore had a gun "buy back", and they claim to have taken in a rocket launcher tube.
Rumors have been circulating for years that various PD's will lend each other scary-looking weapons to enhance the "success" of these events, which helps explain all the minty AR-15's and AK's and such that they claim were turned in by little old ladies who found them in the garage. We might be able to follow these rocket launchers around the country.

Re: Rocket launchers turned in at buybacks....
Honestly there are thousands of those tubes in circulation, they are 1 time use cardboard tubes and can be had for as little as $25 at surplus stores. It wouldn't surprise me if a vet left it in a garage and moved out and somebody turned it in, same as the dummy grenades that the bomb squad gets called in for every year.

They are buying back tubes that used to hold rockets? I got a lot of boxes that used to hold bullets. How much are they giving out?

I got a bunch of big tubes made of Polyvinyl chloride, that sounds scarier then fiberglass.

I think I'm going to hit up some carpet stores for their empty rolls. A little olive drab paint, a few stencils and assorted scary bric-a-brak and I can turn a nice profit on "launcher" tubes.
